[Day-5] Garnada's Day & Night : Grand Cathedral, Cheesecake, and Rain

[Day-5] The majestic Granada Cathedral
My fifth day in Spain began with a bit of a shock in the mirror. My face was completely puffy! 🫠 That is the steep price I paid for enjoying a bowl of late-night ramen in my hostel. But let’s be honest—ramen is a non-negotiable survival kit for any Korean traveler, right?
☕️ Starting the Day with a Spanish CortadoTo wake up my senses and fight the "puffiness," I headed straight to a cozy cafe called Malamiga near my hostel. The Experience: I ordered a Cortado, a Spanish coffee classic that every traveler must try. ☕ Even though the weather was quite warm, I chose to drink it hot. There is a saying in Korea, "fight fire with fire," and a hot Cortado was exactly what I needed to kickstart my energy. 🤭
📮 A 'Hardcore' Mission at the Post OfficeAfter my caffeine fix, I joined my roommate on a mission to the local post office to buy stamps. Who knew buying stamps could be so intense? The Struggle: Navigating the Spanish kiosk felt like playing a hardcore video game. 😵💫 Even with a translator app, the language barrier was real.
A Kind Gesture: Just as we were about to give up, a kind local stepped in to help us navigate the screen. Thanks to their generosity, we secured the stamps safely! It was a small but heartwarming reminder of the kindness of strangers in Granada.

🌧️ Chasing Sunset: From Beer to Rain at San Miguel AltoTo catch the ultimate sunset, I hiked up to San Miguel Alto, the highest viewpoint in the city. 🧗♀️The Plot Twist: I enjoyed a quick, refreshing beer 🍺 while waiting for the golden hour. But just as the sun began to dip, dark clouds suddenly rolled in, and it started pouring with heavy winds! 🌬️ Instead of a glowing night view, I ended up getting completely soaked on my way down. Such a dramatic ending to my hike! 😭

🥩 A Perfect Spanish Dinner & A Heartwarming Surprise 🇰🇷After a quick rest, I ventured out for a late dinner—Spanish style at 10 PM! 😋The Menu: I enjoyed wine, salty Jamon, and a meat dish that tasted like Korean Galbi. The highlight was a unique red gadget used to hold the Jamon plate!
The Surprise: When I returned to the hostel, drenched from the rain, I met my new roommate. When she mentioned she was from South Korea, I shouted, "Oh! Are you Korean!?" 😂 Meeting a fellow countryman in such a far-off land turned my rainy day into a truly happy ending. ✨
